GINGERBREAD MAN 2011 HANDICAP LC (A) 1200M
CLASS 4


Due to the incident involving FLAX following the running of Race 9, this race
was put back ten minutes and rescheduled to start at 2305hrs.

Shortly after the start, GREAT LIGHT (KB Soo) shifted inwards abruptly and
took WING WARRIOR (M Zaki) in onto MY PREROGATIVE (V Sivan), resulting
in MY PREROGATIVE having to be steadied off the heels of SKY WIPER (J
Moreira).

Approaching the 1000m, MY PREROGATIVE, which was racing keenly,
steadied off the heels of MONTEREY (App SH Low), which shifted inwards
slightly.

ARAPUNI (J Powell) raced wide without cover throughout.

DYNAMIC DAN (M Kellady) was momentarily held up making the turn into the
straight.

FERROBOND (I Santana) was held up and unable to improve over the final
150m.

The Inquiry into the run of INIESTA in the eighth race at the Singapore Turf
Club Meeting on Sunday, 26 February 2012 was concluded on Wednesday,
28 March 2012. App M Yap, the rider of INIESTA, in the presence of his
Master, Trainer D Kok, was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10)
in that he failed to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards when between the
1000m and the 600m, he unnecessarily restrained his mount when there was
an opportunity to improve his position and it would have been reasonable to
do so. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record
and the nature of the charge. App Yap was suspended from riding in races
with immediate effect from Wednesday, 28 March 2012 to Wednesday, 27
June 2012 both dates inclusive (a period of three months). He was advised
of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 1 [TF450]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 28 March 2012, Jockey M
Airy, the rider of BERT, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under
MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding BERT in Race 1 at the Singapore
Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 25 March 2012, near the 800m, he made
insufficient effort to straighten his mount, thereby allowing it to shift inwards,
when insufficiently clear and tightened TOP HAPPINESS (D Chee), which
checked and CHEVY (I Saifudin), which had to be eased. When deciding on
penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of
interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Airy that he has
been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Friday,
30 March 2012. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in
races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the
suspension was deferred to begin on Saturday, 31 March 2012 until Friday,
06 April 2012 both dates inclusive (three Race Days). He was advised of his
Right of Appeal.
