STIPE'S REPORT RACE 5 [TF428] INITIATION 1600M LONESOME ME (J Powell) proved difficult to handle behind the barrier dislodging its rider. Trainer S Baertschiger was advised that a warning has been placed on LONESOME ME regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future. ALL FORUS (O Bosson) was slow to begin. COLD SECRET (G Cheyne) jumped awkwardly outwards. Approaching the 1400m, FAITHFUL WARRIOR (I Santana), which was overracing, steadied off the heels of POSITIVE THINKING (B Vorster), which rolled inwards. In the early and middle stages, BIDABULL (D Beasley) got its head up whilst overracing. POSITIVE THINKING and FAITHFUL WARRIOR both raced wide without cover throughout. BIDABULL and LONESOME ME both shifted outwards under pressure over the final 200m. Over the final 100m, COLD SECRET raced in restricted room. The Farrier reported that POSITIVE THINKING returned having cast its off- hind plate. POSITIVE THINKING was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.
