STARSTRUCK (J Saimee), which was fractious and broke through the front of
its barrier, dislodged its rider, was quickly restrained and examined by
Veterinary Surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice, STARSTRUCK was
withdrawn by order of the RACE MEETING STEWARDS at 1852Hrs.
STARSTRUCK must requalify in an Official Race Trial prior to being entered to
race again.
THE BIG DEE (S Baster), which was restless, broke through the front of its
barrier, was quickly restrained, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed
fit to race and reloaded. Trainer S Burridge was advised that a warning has
been placed on THE BIG DEE regarding its barrier manners and to take steps
to improve them or action may be taken in future.
CHINESE TYCOON (V Sivan) was restless in the barrier. Trainer S Chua was
advised that a warning has been placed on CHINESE TYCOON regarding its
barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in
future.
JERAM JERAM (O Placais), which was slow to begin, was inconvenienced
when STEALTH FIGHTER (G Cheyne) began awkwardly and shifted outwards.
JERAM JERAM, which was difficult to settle in the middle stages, shifted
outwards carrying ABASTOR (M Suhaimi) out, resulting in CHINESE TYCOON
being inconvenienced.
CHINESE TYCOON hung outwards from the 800m.
Near the 300m, JERAM JERAM steadied off the heels of FAT BOBO (I
Santana), which was bumped outwards by FULL TOSS (D Beasley). Jockey
Beasley was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to
exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.
App T Rehaizat, the rider of CLASSIC THUNDER, reported that his horse was
not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination confirmed this.
IM SUPERMAN (KB Soo) was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical
examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.
