STIPE'S REPORT RACE 11 (R263) Class 4  1400M (long course-A) The race was delayed by 5 minutes and rescheduled to start at 4.40 pm. Emergency Acceptors ETERNAL TRAVELLER, DIRHAM and BUKIT TINGGI were withdrawn due to a capacity field. Jockey HK Cheng was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for accepting two rides in the same race. Acting on the Starters advice that GREAT GATSBY was difficult to proceed to the Start, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 4.40 pm. The gelding will be required to pass 2 starting stall tests (to be ridden unaided to the start) before being entered to race again. SAYAPRAYERFORME, EQUITY CAPITAL and WONDERFUL GIFT jumped away slowly. The rider of MORE THAN ABLE (Jockey LL Tai) reported that the saddle slipped back during the running of the race. The gelding was not striding out. The rider of MR CITY (App HS Gill) reported that the gelding failed to act in the going. A post-race veterinary examination of MORE THAN ABLE revealed that the gelding returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and lame near fore and as such will be required to pass a test 1000M/vet (after 2 weeks embargo) before being entered to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of ONE STEP AHEAD revealed that the mare returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such will be required to pass a test 1000M/vet (after 2 weeks embargo) before being entered to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of MR CITY revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding was impounded.
