CAPTAIN PENANG which was down 19kgs in body weight since its last run, was
checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
Trainer KC Tiang was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(b) for failing to produce
the declared colours on LAST OWNER.
GRADUATE BOY was slowly away.
TRACK MASTER was slow to begin.
SPEEDY WIND jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin.
LAST OWNER jumped awkwardly with its head up.
SILENCE TOUCH faltered on jumping and bumped CIGAR ROYALE.
SENSIBLE SAM was slow into stride and thereafter showed no early pace.
Near the 1100M, LAST OWNER which was difficult to settle, collided with TWELFTH
AVENUE on numerous occasions and become unbalanced when racing tight between
RUSSIAN SAFARI which shifted outwards slightly from behind the heels of CAPTAIN
PENANG and SILENCE TOUCH which was taken inwards by MR PAINT MAN.
FASTS TIP, GRADUATE BOY and TRACK MASTER which were following, were all
hampered in this incident. After reviewing the video replay, the Stewards deemed this as
a racing incident and no further action was taken.
CIGAR ROYALE raced wide on the first and home turns.
Near the 400M, Jockey M Djulkifli, the rider of GRADUATE BOY, dropped his whip.
He was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a).
A post-race veterinary examination of MR PAINT MAN revealed no obvious
abnormality. The gelding which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet)
before being entered to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of SILENCE TOUCH revealed no obvious
abnormality. The gelding was impounded.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SENSIBLE SAM and LAST OWNER revealed no
obvious abnormality.
