STIPE'S REPORT RACE 4 [TF1565] CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1200M DIVISION 1 Due to the delay because of the objection in Race 2, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1455Hrs. STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN (I Andy) and LIGHT AS FEATHER (S Anandan) both began awkwardly and lost ground. Shortly after the start, LIGHT AS FEATHER steadied away from the heels of LUCKY SUN (Alan Ng), which rolled outwards. Near the 900m, SIR EXCELLENCE (App WL Tan) was crowded between BULL SHOT (App R Shafiq) and GATEAWAY (E Aslam), which shifted inwards to avoid the heels of SUPER JETSET (M Zaki), which was easing the tempo of the event. Jockey Zaki was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when slowing the pace in future. WHIRLRUNNER (App TH Koh) raced wide without cover throughout. Approaching the Winning Post, GATEAWAY was tightened between WHIRLRUNNER and APACHE JUNCTION (App YY Oon), both of which shifted ground. Jockey Anandan, the rider of LIGHT AS FEATHER, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the running. App M Airy, the rider of WICKET, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. GATEAWAY was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.
