throughout.

disadvantage.

GENERAL

SINGAPORE OCTOBER MEETING 2011
FRIDAY, 28 OCTOBER 2011:

RACE 5 [TF1436]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 16 November 2011, Jockey
Alan Ng, the rider of INDULGE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding
under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding INDULGE in Race 5 at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 28 October 2011, near the 800m, he
permitted his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of EL PATRON
(S Sam), thereby taking that gelding in onto HEY TORO (B Vorster), which in
turn crowded NEW TARGET (KK Ng), resulting in that gelding being checked.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty
plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from
Jockey Ng that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings
on Friday, 18 November 2011 and Sunday, 20 November 2011. The
Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under
MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin
on Monday, 21 November 2011 until Saturday, 26 November 2011 both
dates inclusive (two Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

SINGAPORE NOVEMBER MEETING 2011
FRIDAY, 04 NOVEMBER 2011:

RACE 5 [TF1476]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 16 November 2011, Jockey
TO Chang, the rider of OLD FAITHFUL, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless
riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding OLD FAITHFUL in Race
5 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 04 November 2011, near the
1500m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of
FLEET FOOT (J Moreira), resulting in FLEET FOOT having to be crowded and
checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his
record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and
submissions from Jockey Chang that he has been engaged to ride at the
Singapore Race Meeting on Sunday, 20 November 2011. The Stewards
determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule
48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on
Monday, 21 November 2011 until Sunday, 27 November 2011 both dates
inclusive (three Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 7 [TF1478]

On Wednesday, 16 November 2011, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into
the reasons for STEADFAST WARRIOR (J Saimee) having to be checked when
racing between BOWIE KNIFE (S Anandan) and SAMURAI PHOENIX (D
Beasley) near the 400m. It was established that near the 400m, BOWIE
KNIFE shifted inwards under pressure, resulting in STEADFAST WARRIOR
shifting inwards away from that gelding. Shortly thereafter, SAMURAI
PHOENIX, when improving, shifted outwards slightly, which resulted in
STEADFAST WARRIOR being crowded for room and having to be checked. In
the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no
further action was taken.
