STIPE'S REPORT RACE 8 (R1409) The saddle on EASY STRIKE had to be readjusted behind the barriers. Acting on veterinary advice that SUSPECT was lame near fore, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 4:38pm. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. VIVA LA VIDA was slow to begin. HILL OF FORTUNE and VIVA LA VIDA were both checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon at the barriers and were passed fit to race. TIENJIN WARRIOR which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of CLARKE QUAY revealed no obvious abnormality.
