STIPE'S REPORT RACE 7 [TF1049] CLASS 4 1200M ACE AMARRE (App TH Koh) was slow into stride. ANAK PUJUT (App J See) began awkwardly and lost ground. WEST TWO (B Vorster) and PROBO CHANDROSO (S Anandan) bumped on jumping. Near the 1100m, ACE AMARRE steadied away from the heels of GUSTORIKO (O Chavez), which rolled outwards slightly. GOLDHILL WINNER (M Kellady) raced keenly in the backstraight. RENA CROSS (J Moreira) raced wide without cover throughout. App See, the rider of ANAK PUJUT, reported that the geldings saddle slipped back during the running. This was subsequently confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. Jockey Moreira, the rider of RENA CROSS, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Jockey Chavez, when questioned regarding the disappointing performance of GUSTORIKO, stated that the gelding today failed to show the necessary pace to take up a forward position. He added that when passing the 800m, it was momentarily tightened to the inside of ACE AMARRE and from that point, despite being pressured, it failed to run on and had disappointed. His explanation was noted. GUSTORIKO was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.
