STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 5 (R470)

JERAM FRANKIE, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore suspensory ligament, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

ASIAN CLASSIC, a course scratching as it was exhibiting signs of respiratory infection, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again.

WORLD CLASSIC which was up 21kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

The Stewards permitted App HS Gill to be the rider of BLESSWITHLUCK, an emergency acceptor.

This race was rescheduled to start at 3:40pm and was run in steady rain.

NORTHERN EXPRESS was slow into stride.

JUN JIN shifted inwards away from the whip at approximately the 300M mark.

At about the 200M, BLESSWITHLUCK ran up to the heels of TIEN CHING and had to steady inwards.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1½kgs overweight due to the adverse weather conditions.

Jockey Eden Cheung, the rider of JUN JIN, reported that his horse was making marked respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of JUN JIN revealed that the horse returned broken-winded. JUN JIN will be required to pass a test (1200M/vet) before being entered to race again. However, a second opinion will be sought from the resident Club Veterinary Surgeon in determining whether the horse will require a corrective surgery.
