RACE 6 [TF658]
MAIDEN 1600M
Acting on veterinary advice that KUTI KUTI (I Saifudin) was found to be lame
near-fore, the Race Meeting Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2048Hrs. In
terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary
Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.
Permission was granted for Jockey R Woodworth to replace Jockey G Boss on
HANGOVER as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Boss was
subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).
Prior to the running of Race 6, Trainer M Yusof advised the Stewards that his
instructions to App S Noh, the rider of SO GOOD, if circumstances permit, to
ride in a forward position.
GOLDEN COLOUR (V Sivan) was slow to begin.
MAJESTIC RANSOM (V Duric) jumped inwards at the start.
COSMIC VANGUARD (B Vorster) began awkwardly.
SO GOOD, which laid outwards making the turn near the 1200m, raced wide
thereafter.
Near the 1200m, NEW ESPERANZA (O Chavez) mis-strode.
HANGOVER, BRZEE (App TH Koh) and GOLDEN COLOUR all raced keenly in
the backstraight.
COSMIC VANGUARD had a tendency to lay outwards under pressure in the
straight.
The Farrier reported that FEELING GOOD (M Zaki) returned having cast its
near-fore plate.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SO GOOD which
revealed no apparent abnormality.
FAIRBORN (App R Shafiq) and NEW ESPERANZA were both impounded for
routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon
reported no apparent abnormality.
