STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 10 [TF409]
CLASS 3 1600M

Due to a delay in Race 8, this race was put back 5 minutes and rescheduled to start at 1730Hrs.

As there was no suitable claiming rider available, the Stewards gave permission for Jockey I Saifudin to replace claiming Jockey A Fiezan on ORIENT SUPREME.

GURU GLEE (App A Feiruz) was slow to begin and crowded shortly thereafter between TOBIAS (P Knuckey) and MARIBEAU (E Legrix), which shifted inwards.
ANCHOR ICE (R Fradd) and ALVITO (R Woodworth) both raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.

ANCHOR ICE raced wide without cover from the 900m.

Near the 400m, SONIC (App T Affandi) steadied when momentarily crowded between BLUE ANGEL (J Powell) and ORIENT SUPREME.

Near the 200m, GURU GLEE and JOHN OF ARCH (M Gallagher) were both crowded and disappointed for a run between TOBIAS, which rolled outwards and MARIBEAU, which rolled inwards.

ORIENT SUPREME hung inwards in the straight placing its rider at a disadvantage.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that BLUE ANGEL bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeders test.

ANCHOR ICE was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race. ANCHOR ICE will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being entered to race again.
