SUSPENSION OF SINGAPORE RACE MEETINGS
In alignment with the Government’s extension of the Circuit Breaker on 21 April 2020, all Singapore race meetings will continue to be suspended until 1 June 2020.
The Club will continue to evaluate and adapt our business operations in line with prevailing advisories from the Multi-Ministry Taskforce and relevant agencies. The safety and well-being of visitors and the horse racing community remains the Club’s top priority as we take precautionary measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
Conversion of Selected Areas of Singapore Racecourse into Community Recovery Facilities for Foreign Workers
The Government has announced a comprehensive medical strategy to ensure that individuals infected with COVID-19 receive prompt and quality medical treatment. This includes setting up Community Recovery Facilities (CRFs) to allow patients who remain well and clinically stable to recover from COVID-19. The CRFs are an integral part of the nationwide medical strategy to deploy medical resources optimally and prevent our healthcare system from being overwhelmed.
Tote Board and Singapore Turf Club are working with Government Agencies to temporarily convert selected areas of the Singapore Racecourse at Kranji into Community Recovery Facilities for recovering foreign workers. These selected areas are demarcated as restricted zones with no accss to the public.
Tote Board and Singapore Turf Club stand united with Singapore and all Singaporeans in our common fight against COVID-19. Together, we can overcome this challenge.
