In his training career of over 30 years, Bruce Marsh, a former leading New Zealand jockey who rode a Melbourne Cup winner, Silver Knight in 1971, has achieved numerous group winners in both Australia and New Zealand, and was among the top ten trainers in New Zealand on several occasions. His notable Group 1 wins in New Zealand include the ARC Zabeel Classic in 2003 and New Zealand Derby in 2000 with HAIL. He relocated to Singapore in 2005 and wasted not time in snaring a feature race when HELLO AND GOODBYE came away with the Emirates Singapore Derby. Marsh achieved the Derby double five years later with RACE AHEAD who also captured the Group 2 Queen Elizabeth II Cup three months earlier. 2010 Juvenile Championship winner GINGERBREAD MAN also provided Marsh another career highlight when he made a cleansweep of the three legs of the Singapore Three-Year-Old Challenge in 2011.
