Following the successful fundraising event held on 21 January 2019, Singapore Turf Club continued to support Deaf Sports Association by sponsoring the development of the Singapore Bowling team.
In April 2019, the Singapore Bowling team, consisting of notable bowlers like Adelia Noami Yokoyama, the first Singaporean to win a gold medal at the 2017 Samsun Deaflympics, Kimberly Quek, the youngest bowler in the team, as well as Lim Teck Kee who is the oldest in the team, competed in the first ASEAN Deaf Bowling Championships in Manila. With their top-notch performance, they clinched the championship. Congratulations to our Singapore Bowling team.
Singapore Turf Club is proud to be a sponsor of Deaf Sports Association.
In the spirit of the holiday season, Singapore Turf Club organised an educational tour of the Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre for a group of visually impaired beneficiaries aged between 8 to 20 and volunteers from Guide Dogs Singapore on Wednesday, 5 December 2018. The beneficiaries had the opportunity to visit the stable and vet facilities, feed the horses and ride a pony. To celebrate the festive season, the Club also gave Christmas presents to all attendees.
