Joan & I attended the Turf Club event "Out in the Races in Heels" on Friday evening. Wanted to share the experience.
It was held in a marquee, right in front of the racing track.We were selected to judge the "Killer Heels'' contest, where we introduced Reebonz to the esteemed guests present at the event.
The winner (an English lady who improvised and modified her heels to have a "pony-like" feel and look to it) was thrilled and couldn't thank us enough for the gorgeous Balenciaga bag worth $1850 (sponsored by Reebonz). It was to our pleasant surprise that she was actually a horse rider of the turf club and comes in to work everyday at 6am - she expressed how good it felt to bag a prize at a work event (and to dress up, of course)! She also proudly shared with us that she is an exisiting member of Reebonz, and her male friend candidly asked Joan where he got his pocket square from as he was in a hunt for one in Singapore. He asked for our namecard (unfortunately had none) but we directed him to our website and told him to look our for our men's collection where he may be able to find his pocket squares (the fancy handkerchief that sticks out of your jacket pocket).
We had tons of fun - free cocktails, buffet dinner, race betting and pole dancing! I left the event with prizes - dinner for 2 at Ritz Carlton & an ipad case! All in all, we were well-received as a company and definitely stood out from the rest :)
PS- We both took a piece of the event home - a polaroid snap to remember the night! Hope to attend more such events in the near future!
